Masters Speech and Hearing
I am currently employed at a private clinic having worked there for over a year now. My case load includes children with language and learning difficulties, speech sound/articulation, fluency/stuttering, social communication, autistic and voice. My case load is primarily paediatric.
I have been a member of Speech Pathology Australia for the past 14+ years, having working in both private and not for profit organizations. Besides being an active Speech Pathology Australia member, I strive to continuously improve my knowledge and skills by being an active CPSP member since I became a member. I have also studied and worked overseas for almost 4 years as an Audiologist and Speech Pathologist seeing a similar caseload.
My passion for Speech Pathology comes from working with children and helping them overcome their learning difficulties. All children are different, and while some progress very quickly, others take longer to show improvement. I always believe early intervention for children with speech disorders can make a big difference in their quality of life as they grow up.
Outside of work, I am married with two lovely daughters. I work part- time so I can spend most of my time with them. Children are little only once, and my husband and I made a decision to have at least one parent with them during their school years to help guide and influence their life. Fortunately for my husband, I drew the short straw.
In my spare time, I love spending time with my family, and going on short trips during school breaks. My other passion is for baking and I would love to take cooking classes from a chef in desserts and start my own pastry business one day.
